Jordi Scrubbings

Jordi Scrubbings is the alias of a Tampa-based writer, blogger, and self-proclaimed creative genius. He is a graduate of FSU (BA ‘03, MA ‘05) and an avid FSU sports fan. Whereas Jordi lets others deal in the stats, numbers, and immediate observations, Jordi focuses on trends, patterns, and analytical (albeit sometimes unusual) insight. He is a big fan of Gene Deckerhoff and his favorite FSU athletes include Charlie Ward, Peter Warrick, Toney Douglas, and Nigel “Big Jelly” Dixon.

Jordi’s other writings can be found on his homepage JordiScrubbings.com and on his retired blog The Serious Tip.com.

1 ACC Tournament win
2 NIT Post Season wins

Now granted, only Ryan [...]

Everyone has their opinions on National Signing Day. Many don’t like it. Others think it is a great day to celebrate the [...]

Yesterday, NoleCC posted a lengthy piece on why he was opposed to people saying statements such as “Bobby Bowden is FSU” or “Bobby Bowden made FSU”. He claims Florida State University would have been Florida State University even if Robert Cleckler Bowden had never stepped foot on campus. According to NoleCC,
It [...]

Last Thursday, Darren Rovell of CNBC and several other news outlets reported that the Boise State University Athletic Department was going to start selling stock certificates to raise money for the athletic department.  According to Rovell, “athletic director Gene Bleymaier announced the formation of a non-profit organization (Boise State [...]
