Carly Wynn By The Numbers

Posted by

Today’s Tallahassee Democrat has a great article by Ira Schoffel. Driven To Wynn explains much about beloved FSU Senior Centerfielder, Carly Wynn. Her drive, her passion and her competitive nature. Not only is she a hell of a ballplayer, she’s also a great student. She’s a leader, and she’s been that way since she started patrolling center field as a freshman. The star player is going to be very hard to replace next year. Here’s why:

Carly Wynn Through The Years

2007 – .366 Avg, 32 R, 8 2B, 4 HR, 17 RBI, .473 Slg, .391 OBP, .963 Fld

2008 – .368, 38 R, 8 2B, 4 HR, 16 RBI, .500 Slg, .452 OBP, .983 Fld

2009 – .337, 43 R, 11 2B, 5 3B, 6 HR, 34 RBI, .530 Slg, .409 OBP, .962 Fld

2010 – .378, 49 R, 18 2B, 8 3B, 6 HR, 34 RBI, .659 Slg, .500 OBP, .984 Fld

Oh, and did I mention that she successfully stole 65 bases on 74 career attempts? That’s an 87.3% success rate.

She is the definition of “getting better” each year. Congratulations to Carly Wynn on a fantastic career here at Florida State. Let’s hope it lasts for a few more games! The Noles take on Radford at 2:30pm today in the Athens regional. The game is available on Gametracker.
