It’s Time For Celebrity Deathmatch To Come Back

Remember the days of MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch? I think it’s time that it came back for a new run.

First up?

Andrew “The Sentinel” Carter vs. Gene “Dot Com” Williams

Ding, Ding, Ding

Andrew Carter blogged about Lee Gordon’s post on Warchant yesterday, asking if FSU recruit Jacobbi McDaniel would skip FSU and head to MLB. The only problem with Gordon’s article? McDaniel isn’t skipping out on FSU and is hardly on MLB’s radar screen. Carter called some baseball folks, who basically hadn’t heard much about McDaniel and put an end to the internet rumors.

So I think we should just settle all of the ranting going on in the comments or on the message boards with a good old fashioned Celebrity Deathmatch.

We could have future matches like Mike Bianchi vs. Megatron (because why not?), T.K. Wetherell vs. Charlie Crist, T.K. Wetherell vs. himself, T.K. Wetherell vs. The FSU Athletic Department. You get the idea.

I like the creativity of the WC story, but since it was a clear subscription grab, I have to give this round to Andrew.

Also… McDaniel is NOT IN THE 17,000 PLAYER HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR DATABASE.

    So there’s that…

It’s about time someone pummeled the rumor sites. I am definitely not a fan of any site controlled by the uber-obsessed Perez Hiltons of college sports.

They are almost as bad as the Boosters in their arrogance.

I actually think that Celebrity DM still airs on MTV2. Now if its new shows or not, I don’t know.

Thanks Willy, I’ll have to check out the listings on MTV2.
