Number 25 FSU Softball Falls To Michigan, But It’s Okay

Thirteen innings, and a 1-0 loss. FSU Seminole Softball dropped a game to #6 Michigan last night after well over 3 hours, and nearly an unintended doubleheader. My thoughts? I’m happy that this happened for a couple of reasons. First, FSU Softball had a big victory over Michigan the other day, in 11 innnings, that proves they can beat Michigan. Second, these teams are evenly matched at this point in the season, so the Noles are proving they can compete with Top 10 talent. Third, after a long fight and a loss like last night, I want to know that FSU will rebound this weekend in Columbus, GA against some quality Top 25 competition. And last, but not least, teams always learn more from a loss than they do from a win. We know what we have after two games with Michigan, a team that can compete, an emerging star in Sarah Hamilton and an overall better attitude than the last few years.
If the Noles can rebound, then they can pretty much forget about the oh-so-close-but-always-lost games of the last few years.
