Gonzo,

I completely agree with you, which is why I keep saying the jury is still out. Until Jimbo is officially and fully in control, then we can make a judgment.

NoleCC,
Well, I suppose you could make the case that being "ACC Offensive Coach of the Year" this year may be comparable to being the prettiest woman on a Russian Shot Put Team...

(Only one running back and one receiver over 1,000 yards in the whole ACC?)

I think that, until Coach Fisher is fully in charge of this team, it's hard to really judge his performance. I find it hard to believe that Bowden is keeping himself fully removed from coaching in spite of what is being said to the media. I think there are conflicting coaching styles at work here.

Next year will will clarify things a good bit. Having a more mature o-line and QB as well as three years under his system will give us a much better picture of his abilities.

Gonzo,

The jury remains out with me, regardless of an award. No retraction necessary. I'm still not convinced that Fisher will lead FSU where FSU fans demand they go; a perennial national title contender.

Incidentally...

Ponder stares down his #1 all the time, that hasn't improved yet and that's Fisher's deptartment. Smith did well I can't argue there, but the O-Line credit should be given to Trickett.

As for JoePa, I hope he makes a speedy recovery, but I agree that I'm betting it's unlikely he'll be back without major assistance or a minor miracle.

Jury still out on Coach Fisher? Really? I guess you missed the ACC Offensive Coach of the Year memo.

"FSU led the ACC in scoring offense with 32.7 points per game, as Fisher — now in his second year in Tallahassee — began to see the fruits of his labor. The Seminoles scored 30 or more points in wins over Colorado, Miami, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Maryland, as Fisher pulled strong performances out of first-year starting quarterback Christian Ponder, senior tailback Antone Smith and an offensive line that consisted entirely of freshmen and sophomores."

You can make your retraction any time now...

I do agree that the TN "Don't buy tickets and pray for sanctions!" attitude is worthy of someone who needs serious medication. It's like praying for a staph infection in JoePa's new hip. BTW, considering his age and the recovery time it takes for hip surgery, I would be surprised if he was back next year. He may be in a wheelchair if he comes back.

The boosters help the players?!? Man, we are in for it!

Look, contributing money to this trainwreck helps two classes of people:

(1) the administration. It's a signal they're doing a good job.

(2) the contributor. It makes them feel like they are supporting their team, satisfies an emotional need, and assures priority seating status, for whatever that's worth.

Okay Well,

So, I should stop buying season tickets, donating money to the boosters that also helps the players and stop buying FSU football merchandise? Is that correct? Because that does a lot more than affect Bobby Bowden and T.K. Wetherell. The fact is that most people posting on blogs, websites and in the media have absolutely no influence on the actual program, and they need to get over that.

It was a rough day when it dawned on me that FSU didn't actually care if I showed up to a game, because for every one of me there are 3 people that would sit at Doak if they could afford. And, when they can, they will. So, by all means, stop sending in your cash. Especially those of you that write about the team and indirectly profit from it, because that makes sense too, right? Me, on the other hand, I'll be rooting on the Noles from my seats, until they become so expensive that I can only make it to a couple of games per year, and then I'll watch the rest at home. 10-2, 2-10 I'll still be behind the Noles.

Our rubber stamp president and AD will do nothing, and we'll be mired in Bobby's self-inflicted mediocrity, losing to our biggest rival, UNTIL the admin feels the heat of empty coffers.

Why? Because revenues are the metric by which their own job performance is evaluated. Until TK and Spetman's own cozy positions are threatened, they will make no waves and take no risks. They're professional bureaucrats, not innovators, not change agents. I agree with TN's comments 100%. And I also believe "fans" who say we should financially and emotionally support the tedious Bowden Job Program and Old Folks Home no matter what, are enablers of continued subpar performance. In plain English, you've been part of the problem.

I'll continue to point out stuff like that, when it doesn't make any sense to me. What's the point of it? There's a lot of old money happy to keep Saint Bobby around.

I called for them to make it clear because he obviously did not get the hints of the statues (I think they are cool) and the stained glass window.

I'm not wishing sanctions on my school. I would, however, rather have Bobby lose wins than our program lose scholarships. Then again, I root for FSU first, Bowden 2nd.

Thanks for questioning the fandom, again.
