Yes or no? With two FCS opponents, do the Noles have to win 9 this year to “improve” over their 7 wins last year?

With a much easier schedule, 8 seems to be par for the course. 9 Would show improvement. Other non-win indicators will be important to see as well. I voted no.

If we don’t win both of the first two against two of the worst FCS teams, Bobby and his entire staff should be handed their walking papers. Only the rest of the season counts towards an improvement calculation. We won 7 last year, which means we’d have to win 8 over the rest this year to show tangible imrpovement. We get the toughest teams, including CU, later on. The bottom line is, unless we win 2+8+10, then we haven’t really improved. Those who repsond to this poll saying we don’t have to win even 9 games total are really saying they expect us to regress from last year.

Is this the longest month each year? I can’t wait until we shock the NCAA with a team that has finally got everything together and steam rolls threw the ACC. Ok, maybe I’m dreaming, but the FSU fans that predict a national title each year seem to have more fun. Carpe Diem!

No, the first 2 games don’t count. Winning 8 this season is really winning 6, which is worse than last year.

Nothing less than nine wins would do it for me. With a schedule that works well in our favor, there’s no reason why the Noles shouldn’t push for 9-3, at least, with 10-2 certainly reachable and reasonable.

Maybe that’s me just being an eternal optimist, or hoping they make it worth my while to be at the Doak this year, but I’m trying to aim high.
