FSU Football Entrance Idea Being Floated Around

Here’s the explanation, followed by the YouTube. What do ScalpEm.com readers think?

1. A Countdown to Silence (displayed on the beautiful new jumbotron)
- Pretty self-explanatory, when this countdown reaches 0, the whole stadium is expected to be silent, and get ready for the entrance.

2. The Chiefs begin to play their very own song, Seminole Uprising.
- A lot of teams use piped in Rock music for the intros, which would make Seminole Uprising very unique to us. The song would uphold all of our traditions as well as getting the fans excited.

3. During the first minute and a half of Seminole Uprising (before the climax), a highlight video of the past and present, with the actual audio from Gene Deckerhoff, would be played on the jumbotron.

4. At the climax of the song, about 1 minute and 35 seconds in, the players run onto the field. At this point, simple pyrotechnics (a ‘boom’ sound and/or a couple flame projectors) would help mark this moment and make it more exciting.

5. Seminole Uprising continues to play (the song is about 2:30 in total length) as the players settle on the sideline.

6. As the song comes to a close Osceola and Renegade charge towards the center of the field. This is timed so that the moment the song ends, the flaming spear is planted into the ground (queue another ‘boom’ sound). Meanwhile the players, feeling the excitement as well, are on the sidelines jumping up and down holding their helmets in the air.

7. Just a few seconds later, the Chiefs begin to play the Warchant.

8. The fans, doing the chop, feel the excitement and intensity, and the tone is set for the rest of the game. Mission accomplished.

Honestly… I don’t like it, but I might be in a vast minority. I just see too many problems with coordination of it.

I do like the idea of holding the team in the tunnel, and using something by the Chiefs perhaps, with coordination and some pyrotechnics. What do you guys think?

I think it’s a lofty idea. I like it however, I agree with you NoleCC that it may be too complicated to coordinate. I agree that we should have an entrance that fires up the crowd and more importantly the team. I think trying to keep 80,000 fans silent will be nearly impossible, especially considering half of our fans don’t know how to wear Garnet to a home game. Go Noles!!!

You’re trying to come up with a new entrance? What is this, professional wrestling?

The way the Noles have played since 2001, I wish it was professional wrestling. At least I’d be entertained then.
