   I can’t see him leaving after this season and certainly won’t play his last regular season game in Gainesville. So that leads me to think it will be 3 years.

   I don’t see Bowden sticking around after this year if we have another 7-6 season, especially if Paterno passes him in wins and ends up with 2 or 3 more than him. I think three 7-6 seasons in a row will be enough for him.

   If we manage to pull off a respectable 9 or 10 win season with some quality wins and not just an inflated record due to beating up on a couple of lower division schools, I believe Bowden will stay. But, in that case, I really don’t think that it will be as much of an issue with fans and boosters.

   Ultimately, FSU has no one to blame but themselves for deifying the man before he hung it up. I understand his accomplishments as a coach speak for themselves and that his age was a major factor as they wanted to honor him while he was still around to enjoy it. But, once you start with the statue, the stained glass window, and the naming of the playing field you leave yourself with absolutely no options other than to abide by his whims.

   I think good ol’ bobby will hang it up when he feels like he’s hurting his team. Another 7-6 season, like nolando said, will probably be his last. I think he’s good for another 2 seasons.
