Andrew Carter hit it on the head again, recruiting is a big hype machine.

It’s carefully marketed and sold to you so you’ll pay $9.95 a month to read about it and salivate over it. Recruiting news has become big business, and it’s become big business because of gullible people like yourselves who can’t get enough of the bogus information out there.Â

But, Andrew has a valid point, and provides a ton of examples in his blog. Cullen Harper? Three star recruit. Phillips Rivers? A no-name kid from Alabama. The list goes on and on. So if you pay that $9.95, leave a comment and tell me why you do it, when obviously Xavier Lee isn’t better than Matt Ryan or Cullen Harper.

How is responsible for this subpar recruiting you speak of? Oh, that’s right, the head coach and the other coaches that have been around for the last 5-7 years. I guess Bobby does deserve a raise.
I don’t completely disagree Anon… but we’ve had a lot of them replaced. As for the raise, I don’t know that $4 million is appropriate, but he also didn’t take a raise at the last contract renewal either. To me it’s more of a matter of… do you want Coach Bowden here or not?
