Ok, here’s my take. Tebow will more than likely win the Heisman. However, he’s not the best player in the country; Darren McFadden is. McFadden has another big backfield threat to share the spotlight with, Tebow has none. McFadden has a good QB running the O; Tebow IS the QB. Tebow has an entire offense set up based on him, and while he’s good enough to shine, he’s also getting propped up. You gotta think there’s a couple Florida RBs a little pissed that this homeschooled wonder gets all their TD carries to inflate his stats. Nutt could run every single play with McFadden like Meyer is doing Tebow, but he doesn’t. I’m not saying Tebow isn’t awesome, he is, but McFadden is the best in the country.
I say no. I don’t think he’s the best QB or player in the nation…Chase Daniel is by far the best QB in the nation and McFadden is the best player. Tebow is a freak of a human being, that’s for sure, but I don’t know that I have ever seen anyone orchestrate drives like Daniel. Plus Missouri is 11-1, Florida is 9-3. The Heisman usually goes to someone in the hunt for the national championship.
Dennis Dicken from Oregon should be the winner. Oregon has shown how much Dicken carried that offense the last couple weeks. They went from averaging 44 points per game to getting shutout. Just because his knee was blown out and he’s been unable to play the last couple games, I personally, think that the first 9 games before getting injured in the first quarter of the 10th game. I think if you play the majority of the season, they should be able to base the decision on that and not the total season, which might I add is a bunch of hooey, because they don’t count the bowl games performances. I’m just saying.
I don’t know. Tebow is SCARY good. He has the most rushing TD’s of anyone EVER (ie Reggie Bush, Herschel Walker, etc) in one season. He also has a very good arm. I love the Noles, and what he did to the atheletes we have is simply amazing. I say McFadden wins the award for best overall player, but the Heisman Trophy should be awarded to Tebow. I think it would have gone to Dixon from Oregon, but when he went down, there went the Heisman and his team’s season. If Tebow doesn’t win, I say it will be a robbery, but if he doesn’t it will be to McFadden. This one’s going to be a close vote.
What does everyone think of the “He’s a sophomore” argument? Frankly, I could care less in today’s game. If he’s the best player then he should get it, regardless of his class.
I agree. The best player regardless should win it, and he is the best player. He’s got size, speed and an arm. On a side note, the announcers on TV said that Bobby Bowden contacted Tebow, but didn’t offer because we had Drew…
I’m not a fan of Oregon. As a matter of fact, I hate them for beating my Wolverines, but I like “Dixon.” I will also admit I was too lazy to bother learning how to spell or use proper grammar today (Just ask NoleCC). Sometimes, I’m at work and its monday and I just don’t care enough how someones name is spelled. I’d sport you in your anonymity if I thought you were worthy of winning something.
Ooooh……Wait…..I know we can steal a trick from Marvel Comics back in the day and award you with a “No Prize” for finding such egregious errors on ablog! Man, we’re going to have fun with this one. We need to start getting addresses so we can mail out those empty envelopes…..
lol… it’s probably just some Gates enjoying the fun after the game. Randy’s grammar may not be perfect, but damn if he doesn’t have a cool tailgating tent.

Dennis Dicken? Seriously man, if you’re a fan, at least get his name right, no one named Dicken even plays for Oregon. Maybe you mean Dixon.

Lol. I don’t think an Anonymous should start criticizing a ScalpEm.com regular.

It’s the most magical, big green monster you’ll find outside of Boston.
