How FSU Can Win The Miami Game

Run the ball.

Seriously, the Noles have to figure out how to run the ball. If they figure it out, the Noles should beat Miami on Saturday at 3:30. Smith and Edwards should be able to find some holes in a depleted-by-injury Hurricanes defense.

Move Xavier Lee around.
He looks better when he runs a “sandlot” play than when he’s hanging around in the pocket. Why not use that to FSU’s advantage and get XL moving around on Saturday?

Special Teams
Gary Cismesia cannot have a brain cramp for the Seminoles. He’ll have to be accurate, and judging from the weather reports conditions should be great (thankfully the game isn’t being played today).

What do the readers think? How can FSU beat the Hurricanes tomorrow? Sure it’ll be ugly, both teams are down on their luck lately, but this game is hugely important for recruiting. How can FSU do enough to win at Doak tomorrow?

i 100% agree…you can tell when XL starts “thinking outside of the box” and things start to happen.. i wish that they would give him so more freedom and quit making our offense so rigid.. if they wanto use XL then they need to use him for ALL the aspects that hes efficient at. Look at the wake game for instance.. standing back in the pocket for 7 seconds 20yards out in the last minute and making a mad dash for the endzone was definetly NOT designed…BUT XL can make that play work, realized the man coverage, and used his judgement and put in a good last minute effort. i will be very excited to see him as a senior when this offense can adjust to him some and XL continueing to mature as a QB
