FSU wins, UF loses. Damn, it was a good night. I’ve never heard a bar get quiet as quickly as the one I was in last night when Byrum kicked the game winner for Auburn.

Speaking of that field goal, I’m now convinced that calling a timeout right before the snap for a potential game winning/tying field goal is a plain dick move. Sure, it’s legal. Then again, so is lying to your wife about petty crap. But, you just don’t do it. Why? Because it’s a dick move.

Whatever happened to just calling a timeout and icing the kicker?

I’ll admit, I was worried when ‘Bama marched straight down the field and scored the first time. It looked like they figured out how to stop our defense and I really sure that we got lucky on the next drive when 1) Fagg caught the ball and 2) Fagg decided not to completely give up on the play when the ‘Bama player decided not to tackle him for whatever reason (watch the replay, there was a VERY audible pause before he started running).

As per always, I’m confounded by why the team seems to play so much better on both sides of the ball why Lee enters the game. It’s like all of a ssudden Fagg and Carr remember that they can caught the ball by using their hands. Honestly, it just boogles the mind.

JBuck, lol at the comments. I agree that it’s a dick move, but in the end I really don’t have a problem with it. Kickers have one job, to make kicks. It shouldn’t matter whether they’re iced early on or just before the snap.
