Here’s what I recommend you check out today on opening weekend of the 2007 College Football Season.

Noon
Check out Virginia Tech vs. East Carolina, just to see what the Hokies look like in the 1st half. I’m assuming it will be good, maybe even way better than normal because of the emotional backdrop to the game.

UAB at Michigan State provides a glance at the Noles opponent next weekend.

Wake Forest at Boston College. It’s a big ACC matchup in week 1. Who allowed that on the schedule?

Georgia Tech at Notre Dame. GT should have won last season’s contest. Notre Dame shouldn’t be as good as last year. GT should win this game, if they don’t it should be viewed as a huge disappointment for the ACC.

Oklahoma State at Georgia. The Dawgs have a shot to be pretty good this season, as long as they don’t trip up against Okie State.

Tennessee at Cal. Despite a great 2006, Cal suffered from a big loss at Tennessee to start the season. Look for Cal to win this rematch.
