It breaks my heart to have to write this post. Once again, Seminole Boosters, Inc. has failed miserably on their website. A while back I complained to Seminole Boosters, Inc. that many of the Sports Clubs for the Female Athletes at FSU had improper spellings, booster donation levels, etc. How did I find out? Well, when I tried to donate to the softball a couple of years ago, it somehow ended up with the football team on my receipt. So after a visit to their website, and a couple of calls to Seminole Boosters, they assured me everything was fixed.

I decided to look at the Seminole Boosters website tonight to figure out where I’d like some of my tax return to go. This year I’m lucky enough to be able to increase the amount I’m donating in some areas. Imagine my shock when, yet again, the Dugout Club’s (Softball) page on the website, has Dr. JoAnne Graf’s name misspelled as GRAFT. AGAIN. After it has been corrected in the past. How hard is it to spell Coach Graf name? All it would take is a lookup in a campus directory. In fact, anyone over at Seminole Booster CAN TAKE A RIDE BY JoAnne Graf Field, write the name down on a piece of paper and then transfer that spelling to the website. Maybe the technical department isn’t concerned since the head of it has the same last name as the President of Seminole Boosters, Inc.?

I’ve made the point before, but I’m going to make it again. NOBODY would dare spell, Bowden, Martin or Hamilton wrong. But guess who is the ONLY Doctor coaching an FSU team? That’s right, Doctor JoAnne Graf. In reality, maybe Coach Graf wouldn’t think too much of this, or would be more polite about it than me, but I’m tired of having to kick and scream at Seminole Boosters when they have their proverbial head up you know where when it comes to their website. The Booster page represents FSU to the world, and a misspelling there is simply not tolerable. They owe it to Coach Graf to get her name right, in fact they owe her a whole lot more than that for her 29 seasons of service and 1300+ victories.

So Seminole Booster, I beg of you, get it right and get it right, right now. You represent a piece of FSU on the web and to the world, don’t make us look stupid.

(Note: I’ve sent an email tonight, and I’ll update this post if / when things get fixed.)

Update: Things appear to be fixed, although I never did get an email from anyone… go figure.
