Softball On To Super Regional

Congrats to the Seminole Softball team!!! The ladies beat Georgia 2-0 for the Athens Regional championship. The Noles won the first two games on Friday and Saturday to put themselves in the driver’s seat in the regional. After losing the first game on championship day, the Noles relied on the pitching of Melissa May in the winner-take-all game. Following what was a pretty strong pitching weekend for the Noles, May tossed a three-hitter at the Dogs and put the exclamation point on her performance by striking out the final two UGA batters.

The team heads to Tempe, AZ, to face the Arizona State Sun Devils in the super regional best two-of-three series. Game dates and times will be announced Monday. Congrats again Noles!!

Now, if only some of the mojo will rub off on the baseball team…

‘Noles Head to NCAA Tournament

The runner-up in the ACC tournament, FSU heads to Athens, GA to face Coastal Carolina as they begin their quest for an NCAA championship. Let’s hope the bats remain hot for the ‘Noles, who have been scoring runs in bunches the last two weeks.

Heads up folks, the FSU Softball teams starts its quest for an 11th ACC title today at Chapel Hill. The 5th seeded ‘Noles take on Georgia Tech, and will either play #1 seed N.C. State or #8 seed Boston College in the following game.

Seminoles Split with Wake

The Seminole Baseball Team split with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons over the weekend. FSU needs 20 innings on Saturday to be the Deacs, 4-3. The rubber game will not be made up, after some severe weather caused yesterday’s finale to be cancelled.

Who Is This Team?

After an awful loss (10-2) against Savannah State yesterday, I pose this question to the boards…

What’s wrong with the Seminole Baseball Team, and how can it be fixed prior to the ACC Tournament?
