While I don’t usually cover this type of news, I thought it was important to note, in case some of you miss it in the Tallahassee Democrat. Christine Blount, the retired owner of The Sweet Shop passed away at the age of 76. For those of you that didn’t get to experience The Sweet Shop in it’s better days (and many of us didn’t, Blount retired in 1977), it was a great place to have a lunch break, or a study date right next to the south entrance to campus.
